This is one of my all time favourite images.

It was originally captured on black and white film and then digitally scanned.

I then hand coloured the image to create the effect that I wanted. Creating a deliberatly rough edged glow around the girls. I used the cold blues and warm golds to create this lovely colour contrast.

I had scouted the deserted building a few weeks earlier and created the concept before bringing the models and their fantastic dresses to the location.  

The wind was blowing through the open window just visible on the right hand side. This caused the dresses to move and add some dynamics to the image.
